Oeschinensee needed to become more than a compelling image: it needed to be understandable and experienceable as a destination before guests travelled there. Visitors should be able to discover the landscape, routes and seasonal differences digitally, assess their options more confidently and find relevant information for their visit directly in its spatial context.

Aumivi developed a virtual experience world based on more than 160,000 high-resolution aerial and ground images. This became a navigable 360° environment that makes Oeschinensee accessible across all four seasons.

The Routes Manager links hiking trails with the panorama and map views. Routes are georeferenced, colour-coded and enhanced with elevation profiles, points of interest and additional information. Live updates on weather, trail conditions, restaurants and gondola operations help guests prepare for their visit and make decisions on site.

The experience world is integrated into the official website. QR codes take visitors on site directly to relevant views, routes and information. Multilingual content and visual previews of trails also make orientation easier for different visitor groups.

A visual presentation became a digital tool for inspiration, visitor information and orientation. Guests can explore the region in every season, assess routes and terrain more confidently and plan their stay on a more informed basis. At the same time, the experience world brings current information together in an environment that fits directly into the destination's tourism communications and the on-site visitor experience.
